May 2015

The German company LUMAS, with Galleries in Europe and all around the world, has produced several signed limited editions of my works.

Each edition of 150 signed copies is produced on photographic paper Lambda C-Print high gloss, and protected by an acrylic glass. Works are available from May 7 in the galleries and on-line. The result is spectacular, have a look here:

From May 24 to June 20 I will be enjoying and painting in New Berlin, NY, as a resident artist at the Sam and Adele Golden Foundation for the Arts, Inc. I will be posting about my experience on my Facebook page (link).

February 2015

With great pride and joy I announce you that I’ve been accepted as Artist in Residence 2015 at The Sam and Adele Golden Foundation for the Arts, Inc. (link). This residence is offered merely to painters of great quality and a broad career as professionals, its duration is one month and I am the first Spanish artist who has ever been accepted, so I am very grateful.

From February 12th to March 8th the XXIV edition of the Contemporary Art Fair FLECHA (link) will take place in Madrid, and I participate for the first time.

FLECHA is a very special fair organized for artists and by artists seeking an alternative way to exhibit their works. This year there will be 53 participating artists including frontline names like Antonio López and Isabel Muñoz. It takes place at the Arturo Soria Plaza Shopping Centre in Madrid and admission is free.

In addition, a 10% of the proceeds from the sales will be donated to Cáritas ( On the day of the opening, an auction of paintings made that same day at the gallery by each of the artists who participate in this show was held. The amount obtained through theauction of the eight paintings batch was also entirely donated to Cáritas.

November 2014

On Thursday November 27 the three-people exhibition "A Real World …”, with works of myself, another painter and a sculptor, opens in Barcelona. The title of the exhibition seems ironic to me, since the most realistic elements in the works of the three artists are the characters who appear in them, while the world that surrounds them is scarcely real: dreamscapes, imagined or nonexistent landscapes is what you will find at this show.

The gallery El Quatre (link) (Rossello, 193, Barcelona) opens in the afternoon from 16.30 h. Pass by at your convenience, the opening will last until late. See you there!

June 2014

On Friday June 6th the opening of my second solo Exhibition at Soprafina Gallery (link) will take place, in Boston (55 Thayer st): plogo54

You are kindly invited to attend the opening reception from 5.30 to 7.30 pm. The exhibition can be visited from today to June 28th (and perhaps the following week). Friday 6th is First Friday of the month, when all the galleries in the South End area have their opening receptions and people go gallery hopping. It’s fun, don’t miss it! Unfortunately on this occasion I won’t be able to attend myself, so if you go please let me know your opinion. To preview the exhibition use this link: plogo98

In this exhibition, “INTANGIBLE”, I continue representing my usual themes, the intangible and the incorporeal, through anonymous “flesh and blood” characters. So far my work has mainly focused on the grand existential questions and common concerns to all mankind: the meaning of life, the passage of time, the fear of death. However, in my most recent work, instead of observing people in the distance and in groups, I’ve approached and isolated them, and I’ve concentrated on their individual feelings, their daily concerns, in their moments of happiness or uneasiness. I continue to pursuing subjects such as love, fear, uncertainty ... but also like to zoom into the smaller matters such as a those moments of joy, worry or hesitation that we go through every day: I jump because I feel alive. I hold my son’s hand. I share a little chat with a friend. I choose my clothes. I doubt of myself. I imagine. I feel the music. I make decisions. I establish my own limits or skip them. I overcome fear. I am optimistic. Each character of my paintings tells us a story, her own story, or even sometimes our own.
